Position Summary
The EdTech & Innovation Manager operates at the intersection of pedagogy, technology, and organizational change. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic insight, and leadership in digital transformation. The role serves as a connector between academic and technical stakeholders, promoting a culture of innovation, ensuring sustainable digital advancement, and enriching teaching and learning through purposeful technology use.
Key Responsibilities
LMS Administration & Support
- Oversee course setup, user registration, and access permissions within the LMS.
- Diagnose and resolve LMS-related issues while providing multi-tier technical assistance.
- Coordinate with vendors and IT teams to manage LMS integrations, maintenance, updates, and feature development.
Analytics & Data Protection
- Transform LMS analytics into actionable insights for improving courses, faculty engagement, and learner outcomes.
- Use data insights to guide EdTech acquisitions, digital learning strategies, and academic support plans.
- Employ data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Google Data Studio) to monitor digital learning performance.
- Provide predictive analytics insights for early intervention and retention initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy (GDPR, PDPA), accessibility (WCAG), and intellectual property regulations.
Digitalization & Innovation
- Design and execute EdTech strategies and initiatives aligned with institutional learning objectives.
- Encourage adoption of new digital tools and nurture a technology-driven culture among staff and faculty.
- Track and report project milestones, adoption levels, and outcome metrics.
- Continually assess tools, workflows, and team efficiency for improvement.
Stakeholder Management
- Communicate the benefits of EdTech and pedagogical innovation to academic and administrative audiences.
- Collaborate with faculty, IT teams, instructional designers, and external partners to advance digital integration.
- Deliver engaging workshops and demonstrations of innovative technologies.
- Adapt training and support to suit varying levels of digital literacy among users.
- Mentor and guide a multidisciplinary team of learning designers, engagement officers, and EdTech professionals.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Education, or a related area, with at least 5 years of experience in digital learning technology (preferably in higher education),
or - Bachelor’s degree in the same fields with a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
Experience
- Proficient in learning analytics, digital platform management, and compliance with accessibility and data protection standards.
- Experienced in leveraging and integrating educational technology and AI to improve outcomes.
- Proven track record in leading and collaborating within diverse, multi-stakeholder environments.
Preferred/Advantageous
- Experience managing or participating in multi-institutional, online, or hybrid educational teams.
